Wekfest San Jose 2026

November 2021 was a strange time. I always think of it as the transition from the COVID era back to getting outside and attending events again. It also happened to be our last Wekfest appearance, and I still can't believe it's been five years. Where has the time gone?

With so much uncertainty surrounding events back then, Wekfest San Jose was pushed to November in 2021. Fast forward to 2026, and we're finally back to the "normal" summer schedule in June—the way it used to be. Better yet, we're back in the Bay Area where it all started for what's known as the "Super Bowl" of car shows.

A lot has changed over those five years. Families have grown, there are way more kids running around, and the little ones from 2021 are suddenly all grown up. PURE builds have come and gone, while others have continued to evolve. This year we brought out six builds total—four representing PURE VIP and two representing PURE 4×4.

Ronald has been with PURE for 14 years, and his "TWERK" Wagon has gone through more evolutions than I can count. It's always inspiring to see someone stay this passionate about a build after all these years. For 2026, he debuted an entirely new kit (INGS, MATURE) wrapped in a fresh Inozetek Army Green color by Imperial Works.

Jason has been with PURE just as long and brought out his long-travel second-generation TRD Pro Tundra. Fittingly, Jason's green rig was hauling Ronald's own green machine to the show.

Ged has been part of PURE since 2021 and has already gone through a couple of incredible builds. This year he showed up in his R35 GT-R, finished in satin PPF and sitting on Work VS-XXs. Around here we have a soft spot for black cars and rigs, so this one fit right into the lineup.

Denzel also brought out his freshly built third-generation TRD Pro Tundra, complete with what we jokingly call the "PURE 4×4 Starter Pack." The best part? It's actually for sale, so hit us up if you're interested.

Last but not least, Anthony and I brought back our T-Demand cars—my LS430 and his IS250. While neither has changed much since our last appearance, we were just happy to be back where it all started, surrounded by the culture at Wekfest San Jose.

What really made this year's Wekfest special for me was bringing my family and letting my kids experience import car culture firsthand. My daughter wasn't all that interested in the cars, but she absolutely loved the vendors selling plushies and the claw machines. My son, on the other hand, couldn't stop staring at all the "race cars" and trucks, as he called them. I hope seeing the wild builds, smelling the squash fresheners & gas fumes, and hearing all the exhaust notes becomes one of those core memories they carry with them as they grow up.

Looking around and seeing everyone else's kids at these events makes me just as happy. It reminds me that we're raising the next generation of PURE, and I can't wait to see where their journeys take them.

A huge shout-out to Wekfest for welcoming us back with open arms after all these years. Thank you to the waves of people who stopped by our booth throughout the day. I still can't believe we sold out of our limited "Return to San Jose" shirts within the first few hours. At this rate, I may have to do one small reprint since so many of you have been asking.

Another big thank you to Imperial Works for being longtime friends and the best booth neighbors we could ask for. And lastly, the biggest shout-out goes to the entire PURE familia. Thank you for another unforgettable weekend and for making memories that we'll be talking about for years to come.
