PUREtv: Niello Concours at Serrano 2011

Located just north of Sacramento, CA, Niello Concours at Serrano, gives you a taste of the lifestyle of the rich and famous. The show offers three of my favorite things: classics, exotics, and cognac.

I was also able to test out my Canon 5D Mark II for the first time in the wild. Tis’ my first taste at full frame and Canon coming from Nikon everything. I’m def pleased with the results.

I’ve started to make this event a ritual and also my official reminder that Libra season is here. Many thanks to Tony N. (@tonyYNOT916) and the Moore family for inviting me again!

So I finally got to test out my 5D MK II for the first time during my second visit to Niello Concours up in El Dorado Hills, CA.

Loving full frame, but really hating Canon’s ergonomics. I missed a few photo and video ops just because the on/off switch is awkward as hell to use. Video mode is buttery smooth though. I just kept forgetting to manually lock-in the ISO at times. Also, when in movie mode it sometimes just decides to stop recording; does know anyone why it does that?

Regardless, I was infatuated with all the dope classics and exotics at the show. It’s def inspiring seeing all the beautiful cars. The Hennessy booth is always a favorite.
